I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, as far as we know that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write interesting content is always time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. Some blogs are quite interesting, such as this one, Ratchet Tie Down Straps, it’s name is pretty cute, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. Check this one out, The Moving Tie Downs, this is a themed blog, the content on the this site has a theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. I can show you a lot more sites, but you should already see the point. Here is one last note, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, do some casual postings randomly, such as this blog, Our Beloved Pet, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, you can try to build a few more, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. Of course its just the beginning, it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, do remember don’t do any spamming tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
